Orb Hurtles Above the Startling Anomalies

Photo date: January 7, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken in Grand Central Station in New York. Unlike most photos on this site (which were cropped after being loaded in the IrvanView simple photo editor), this photo has been copied exactly from the camera without being loaded in any software on my machine.Click here to download the photo (DSC05878) at its full resolution with its original EXIF metadata. Or click below to see the photo at somewhat less resolution.

Below is a closeup of the anomalous object in the top left corner of the photo.

moving orb
We see an orb that displays what photographers call a ghosting effect, caused when an object moves faster than the shutter speed. Since the effective shutter speed of the camera was about 1/1000 of a second, an effect like this indicates a motion that is very fast, much faster than the motion of any insect. We can tell this object is moving much faster than a walker because none of the walkers show any sign of motion blur, but this object does.

Here is another closeup from the top photo, showing two orbs near an information booth.

Below is another closeup cropped from the right middle of the top photo. We seem to see  a strange set of creatures with nonhuman faces.  You can see other "apparition clusters" by clicking the link at the top of this post, copying the full photo, and loading it into a photo editor with "zoom and pan" functionality.
