The following photo was taken in Grand Central Station in New York. We see at the top a big bright orb which shows two distinctive characteristics of many orbs: a distinct ring around its edge, and a split aura of two different colors.
Below is a closeup. An orb like this is way too bright to be a dust particle reflection. When you get flash photos of dust particles, they don't look even a hundredth as bright as this.
If you look closely, you can seem to see three letters inside the orb: W, I, and M. Someone's initials, perhaps? Or maybe it's just a shorthand way of expressing a whimsical sentiment.
