Photo date: July 10, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below was taken at 9:58 PM on a clear night in midtown Manhattan. We see an astonishing swarm of orbs that has a huge variety of colors.
There was nothing I could notice that was unusual about the air. The photo below was taken just before the photo above (also at 9:58), and showed no orbs near the camera.
The next photo after the top photo (also taken at 9:58) also showed an astonishing swarm of orbs in many colors.
The photo below was also taken at 9:58 (a few photos after the top photo), and also showed no orbs near the camera.
The photos of the cardboard in front of the camera show that the orbs in the top photo were not being produced by dust, water vapor, pollen, or any other particles near the camera.
This astonishing "orb rainbow swarm" in the sky lasted about a minute, before gradually disappearing. There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air
quality as listed on airnow.gov was good, with a rating of 35. The
pollen count listed on pollen.com was low to medium, with a rating of
3.4.
