Fleeting Glory of an Orange Orb

The photo below was taken on Park Avenue in New York City. We see a rare orange orb next to a skyscraper tower. Was the orb peeking at the office workers? Probably not, as the orb shows some motion blur at one end, and was probably moving fast.

This orb sure wasn't the moon, as it did not appear in the next photo.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The local air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good.".
