The answer is: the moon is the one on the right.
Let's play this "which one is the moon" game one more time, using a photo from the next day.
This one is easy. The moon is the one on the bottom. The other two are mysterious sky orbs.
Let's play one more time with a photo from June 29. Which one is the moon?
The answer (I think) is that the moon is the one with the kind of halo, above the tree.
I never in my wildest dreams imagined that identifying the moon in the sky would be something of a challenge.
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation when these photos were taken. On both nights the air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good."
