Photo date: July 10, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below was taken at 9:58 PM pointing up at some skyscrapers in midtown Manhattan. We see the sky filled with a dense swarm of mysterious orbs.
Also at 9:58 I took this photo showing a similar-looking group of colorful orbs.
At two different times during the same minute, I took a photo of a piece of cardboard at arm's length. No orbs appeared in front of the cardboard, indicating that these orbs I was photographing were not being caused by any natural particles just in front of the camera.
This astonishing "orb rainbow swarm" in the sky lasted about a minute,
before gradually disappearing. There was no fog, mist, rain, or
precipitation on this night. The air
quality as listed on airnow.gov was good, with a rating of 35. The
pollen count listed on pollen.com was low to medium, with a rating of
3.4. There was no sign or smell of any unusual dust nearby.
See my post here for two other photos taken when this "orb rainbow swarm" appeared. Orb swarms this colorful simply cannot be explained as dust, as suspended dust particles never look anywhere near this colorful when they are photographed (you can only photograph lots of suspended dust particles when there is very heavy and noticeable dust).
