The photo below shows an orb observed in Grand Central Station in New York. We see here the effect photographers call "ghosting," when multiple position states of a fast-moving object are captured in the same photo. This is the "string of pearls" effect shown in 9 other photos on this site, in which a very fast-moving orb is photographed in a way that looks like pearls on a necklace, with the "pearls" being different position states of the hurtling object.
The photo was cropped from the photo below, which shows not only this orb but a much larger orb.
