Big Pink Orb Is a Skyline Stumper

In the photo below, we see the skyline of New York, as viewed from across the East River. We see a mysterious pink orb that seems to be speeding downward. It almost reminds me of some kid plunging into a pool while shouting, "Cannonball!"
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air
quality was moderate with a rating of 60. The photo was taken from the
end of a long pier jutting way out into the East River, a place where the
nearby air was very clean.
