The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York. We see the strange phenomenon I call the light metamorphosis, in which light rays rise up far from their source, often bending strangely. It looks as if some weird wind was blowing the light rays over to the right.
The camera was not moving when the photo was taken, and except for the light the details are sharp (you can even see two people in mid-stride in the lower right). The photo was a flash photos with an exposure time of 1/30 of a second, using normal camera settings (no "Night picture" setting).
