The top of the photo below shows some mysterious objects that seem to be speeding past a building in New York City.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. I may note that the time of year makes it futile to try to explain a photo like this as a photo of an insect. I have not seen one flying insect during many hours of night photography this winter in New York City. An insect such as a house fly flies no faster than 5 miles an hour, but we seem to see here objects moving many times faster than that. The wind speed was only 12 miles per hour.
