The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York. We see the strange phenomenon I call the light metamorphosis, in which light rises up from its source, often bending in strange ways.
Here we see light rising up before bending way over to the right.
Another photo from the same night shows the light getting even wigglier.
The camera was not moving when these photos were taken. I got lots of similar photos while holding the camera very stable. No special camera settings were used. The photos were flash photos with an exposure time of 1/30 of a second, using normal camera settings (no "Night photo" setting).
