The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New York. This is the full original photo without any cropping. On the left we see an orb that is 11% of the original photo height. Given an area of 15000 microns (15 millimeters) right in front of the camera, a suspended airborne dust particle would have be to be 1500 microns to produce an orb this big -- which is 150 times bigger than the biggest airborne dust particles found at a place like this.
On the same day with a different camera I got the photo below. We see a very bright orb that has a kind of "pulsating" appearance.
