The Orb Pattern Became More Complex

I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background.  On this date (among other things) I got many orbs with a kind of bean-shaped hole or dark mark at their bottom. Below are some examples:

The pattern briefly became more complex, with two features in each orb.  It was almost like the pattern was on the verge of becoming a face-like pattern.
