I took the photos below while photographing only ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling in front of a black featureless background. One of several astonishing and very dramatic patterns I got on this Easter day was a pattern consisting of two large holes and a small ring, with the small ring always appearing on top of the left hole, which was always larger than the right hole. Exactly this pattern persisted throughout almost all of 500 consecutive photos. Below are some examples.
