It is often claimed that dreams are just a meaningless jumble of nonsense. But I have quite a few times had dreams that combined complex intelligent philosophical reasoning and precise relevant recall. I describe quite a few such dreams in my post here.
Last night I had another dream with complex subtle reasoning and precise relevant recall. In the dream I was talking to someone, and stated that the problem of explaining morphogenesis is one that scientists do not understand, and that the problem is a hundred miles over their heads. In the dream I stated that scientists have claimed that DNA has a body blueprint, but that this claim is not correct.
The claims I made in the dream are correct insights, with huge philosophical implications. The problem of morphogenesis is the problem of explaining how a speck-sized zygote existing just after impregnation is able to progress to become the state of vast hierarchical organization that is a fully developed human body. This problem is indeed one that scientists do not understand, one that is a hundred miles over their heads. It is correct that many scientists have claimed that DNA is a blueprint for building a human body, trying to suggest that this helps explains morphogenesis. It is also correct that such a claim is false, as many scientists have admitted, because DNA (which has merely low-level chemical information) has no such anatomy blueprint. You can read a full discussion of this topic in my post here. That post includes quotes by dozens of scientists and doctors confessing that DNA has no blueprint, recipe or program for making a human body. DNA and its genes do not even specify how to make any of the organs or cells in a human body, nor does DNA even specify how to make any of the organelles that are the building components of such cells.
After eating breakfast, I observed something spooky. I was typing, while watching a TV show on HBO Max, alone in the room. The TV remote was an arm's length away, to the left. The TV episode was about one third of the way through. Suddenly my TV screen changes so that it showed the startup screen that you get when you first go to HBO Max. The effect that I got was one that can only be produced by pressing three times a "go back" button on my TV remote; but the remote was untouched by me, an arm's length away. The button is shown at the top left of the photo below:
Again, I observe an effect that is like some invisible hand at work. Similarly, 13 different times I have seen my PlayStation machine mysteriously turn on.
I can speculate about a possible symbolic meaning of this event with a "3 go-back" motif. According to the theory of the nonearthly pre-existence of the soul (suggested by some dreams and near-death experiences as described here), each of us is a soul from some nonearthly realm of existence, and each one of us is merely a temporary visitor to this planet. According to such an idea each of us will go back to that nonearthly place that is our true home after we die. So conceivably "3 go-back" might symbolize that in three time units I will return to such a nonearthly state of existence. But under such an interpretation the meaning of the 3 is unclear. It might mean 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months, 3 years or 3 decades.
