Ascending Anomaly

The photo below shows the top of St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. Above it we see an orb that seems to be zooming up into the sky.

A closeup shows a rather clear example of the "orb tails" I so often photograph.

There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 33 (anything below 50 is considered good).
