Orbs don't seem to like glittery, brightly lit places. I photograph orbs in tremendous abundance in the rather dim lighting of Grand Central Station in New York, and also photograph quite a few in other old places, but I can't recall getting a single good orb photo in the glittering shininess of Times Square. Orbs seem to prefer darker places. So I was quite surprised to get the photo below, which is the only one I've gotten showing an orb in a shopping mall.
A closeup seems to indicate an orb moving very fast. Given the "ghosting" photographic effect shown here (involving a double image of a speeding object), we see here an object that seems to be moving at least 70 miles an hour, way too fast to be a dust particle (the average speed of indoor dust particles is only 2 miles an hour).
