Speeding Orb in a Bezier Curve Motion

Photo date: April 10, 2015.  Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below was taken in Grand Central Station in New York.

Below is a closeup of the moving orb.

We seem to see here the photographic effect known as ghosting, when multiple position states of a speeding object are captured.  What we seem to have here is a single orb moving very fast, making a kind of Bezier curve motion.  Neither insects nor birds ever move in such a way in a space this short.

For other examples of spectacular moving orbs, see this poster showing 37 speeding orbs, or see my 82 posts labeled "speeding air orb."
