The photo below shows some buildings in Manhattan.
I have often wondered what the sky would look like if you lived on a planet revolving around a star in a star cluster. The night sky would look so glorious in such a place, with big bright stars. But now that I have a full-spectrum camera, I no longer have to wonder how it would look at such a place. I merely photograph the night sky in New York. Even though the light pollution and air pollution blocks me from seeing anything but a few stars, I can still photograph mysterious orbs in the sky, like the ones above.
What is that object that seems to be moving? Is it an incoming comet, ready to smite Manhattan?
No, it's just another speeding orb, like the 77 speeding orbs shown in my posts labeled "speeding air orb." The strong motion blur indicates a very fast-moving object -- something moving way too fast to be a dust particle.
There was no precipitation, fog or mist on this night, and the air quality listed on
airnow.gov was "moderate" with a number of 55, close to the number of 49
that would qualify as "good."
