The photo below shows a blue orb hovering above the top of a tower in Manhattan. The photo is a simple crop of a larger photo, without any tint or color adjustment. A color this bright and vivid rules out any possibility we are seeing a dust particle here. Suspended dust particles never look anywhere near as bright and vivid-colored as this when they are photographed (something that can only occur under very dusty conditions very different from the conditions under which this photo was taken).
