The photo below shows a row of flags flying in New York City. Precisely adjacent to one side of the flag of France, we see a mysterious blue orb. (The blue stripe of that flag looks a little purplish because the photo was taken with a full spectrum camera that sometimes makes blue look a little purplish.) The blue object was not the moon, which was only a thin crescent on this night.
But don't get jealous, Americans, because this blog also has 26 photos of orbs hanging around the US flag.
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good."
