A Pair of Orb Veils, Both With the Same Shape

Photo date: April 6, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The previously unpublished photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background.  We see two examples of the mysterious things I call orb veils.  As I have seen in many previous examples, the orb veils exist in a kind of stack. Both of the objects have the same shape. The veils have the spiky appearance that they so often have, with lots of little protrusions on the edge of the veil.  Nearby are the strange things I call orb crescents. See here for 58 other examples.
