The photo below shows an example of the strange effect I call the light metamorphosis, in which light rises way up from its source, often bending in strange ways. The photo was taken in the Schwartzman branch of the New York Public Library.
I have posted many more than 70 flash photos showing such an effect (as shown here), but this one was a non-flash photo with an exposure of .5 second.
