The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background. We see a very dramatic example of the strange objects I call orb veils, which are shown in this composite photo, and this stream of 91 photos. One of the most inexplicable facets of these orb veils is their tendency to appear in congruent "stacks." We see such a stack here. On the right we can see that underlying the white-colored orb veil is an orange orb veil with the same shape. Also, on the top we can see two orb veils with the same shape.
I often photograph these objects with an internal circle or ring on their surface (as shown here). In this case we see at least five of these internal rings or circles.
These orb veils had an apparent size of about 5 inches. As usual, there seemed to be no shadow cast by these objects.
