Orbs So Bright Are a Sky Delight

The photo below was taken on a dry night in New York City. We see three bright white orbs and some less bright purple orbs.

 Below is a closeup of one of the orbs (I used the IrfanView "Auto-adjust colors" menu option on the closeup). We see a kind of aura around the orb.

 There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 29 (anything below 50 is considered good).
