Pink Orb Floats Above the Gargoyles

The photo below shows a mysterious pink orb floating above some ramparts and gargoyles at a New York City school.  The object was not the moon, and did not appear in other photos taken from this angle. Together these elements make a scene like something we might expect to see at the Hogwart's School in the Harry Potter series.

There was no rain, fog, mist or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 29 (anything below 50 is considered good).
