The photo below shows a twilight scene in New York City. We see a big pink orb floating high in the sky. This particular spot (one I know well) is a dark spot far from the nearest streetlight.
There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a level of 28.
