The photo below was taken in Grand Central Terminal in New
York, where we see the very astonishing effect I call the light metamorphosis, in which light rays rise way up from their source, often bending in inexplicable ways. Notice the squiggly twists the light rays take near the top of the photo.
I have posted more than 100 flash photos showing such an effect (as shown here), but this one was a non-flash photo with an exposure of less than a second.
