The photo below was taken in the lobby of the main branch of the New York Public Library.
We seem to see a very dramatic example of a moving orb. In the effect that photographers call "ghosting," the camera seems to have captured at least five position states of a single orb moving very fast. The orb seems to have made not just one sharp right-angle turn, but two sharp-right angle turns. This type of motion is naturally inexplicable, and is never made by dust, insects, or birds.
This photo shows a dramatic "string of pearls" effect that has been captured by other orb photographers.

No insects or birds were observed at this location, which was a very clean spot.
