The photo below was taken while photographing pure, clean water dripping against a dark background. At the bottom we see what I call an orb veil. Often these strange objects will have an arc shape on one side, with lots of little pointy spikes on the other side. See my posts labeled "orb veil" for 18 other photos of this strange phenomenon.
