The photo below was taken while simply photographing clean, pure water drops falling against a dark background. We see a strange wispy thing that I call an orb veil, which had an apparent size of about 4 inches. We also see at least 10 inexplicable crescent shapes, as well as some "half orbs." Other orb photographers have reported these veil-like structures appearing while orbs were photographed.
