Orb U-Turn

The photo below was taken at Grand Central Station in New York.

Below is a closeup of the orb. We seem to see the photographic effect called ghosting, in which multiple position states of a speeding object are captured in a single photo. This seems to be a single orb that is making a sharp u-turn, a type of sharp turn that neither dust, insects, nor birds ever make.
