The photos below were taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark featureless background.
The strange objects I call orb veils typically have spiky points on their edges, as show in this example from April 6, 2015...
... or in this photo from August 16, 2015.
But occasionally these orb veils will appear with an almost perfectly circular appearance, as in this example from March 29, 2015 (the object was about 4 inches in apparent width).
Below is another example from Oct 13, 2015, showing another object that appeared about 5 inches in width.
In both of these examples we see straight edges showing that we are not dealing with any type of bubble here (which would be perfectly round). The water being photographed had no soap whatsoever in it.
