The photo below shows a gold-plated statue near Central Park in New York. Almost touching the outstretched arm, we see a purple orb floating mysteriously.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night with very clean air. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 21 (anything below 50 is considered good).
