It is said that when two mountain climbers or Arctic explorers are walking about, they sometimes get the feeling that there is an unseen presence near them -- a "third man." In fact, John Geiger wrote a book about this, which he called The Third Man Factor. One can only wonder whether these two people got a "third man" feeling when this photo was taken, a feeling that an unseen presence was walking with them.
