Last night was a clear dry night in which the wind was blowing at 17 miles per hour, gusting to 23 miles per hour. I kept getting orbs in my photos of the sky, even though that should have been impossible according to the theory that orbs are dust (the air is very clean when the wind blows this fast).
In each of the photos below we will see a US flag blowing perpendicular to the flag pole, something that it does only in a stiff wind. None of these objects was the moon, which was a half-moon visible only in the opposite direction. Here is the first photo, showing a bluish orb:

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 23 (anything below 50 is considered good).
