The photo below was taken in Times Square in New York City, and shows something I have never photographed before: a striped orb in the sky.
Below is a closeup of the mysterious orb.
I have taken 19
photos showing mysterious striped orbs that appeared while I was photographing water drops, but this was the first time I have photographed a striped orb in the sky.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night. The pollen count listed on pollen.com was very low, with a level of only 0.1.
