Photo date: March 26, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.
The photo below was taken in Grand Central Station in New York, and was uploaded directly from the camera. Click here to download the photo at its full resolution. Or click below to view the photo at a slightly lower resolution.
Below is a closeup cropped from the top left corner of the photo above.
At the bottom we seem to see an orb face. At the top we seem to see an orb that is speeding very rapidly. We see the effect photographers call ghosting, produced when an object moves faster than the shutter speed, and you get a streak showing multiple positions of the same object.
What is that line we see on the left? It is the steel cable that is holding up the huge spherical chandelier light. The moving orb at top seems to travel in a loop that goes behind the distant steel cable.
In the upper right corner of the photo, we seem to see another speeding orb, one that has a face.
In the bottom right of the photo, we see the orb below, floating among the commuters in the crowd. If you look closely, you can seem to see a face on this orb also, although it's not as clear as the other two cases of "orb faces."
