Mystifying Multitude

The photo below shows the Met Life building in New York, with Grand Central Station in the foreground. Above the station we see more than 60 orbs in the sky, but we don't see even one decent-sized orb in front of the station.  This is a very strong indication that what we are seeing is not some particles near the camera (such as dust), but instead some mysterious unknown floating in the sky above the station.  See this series of posts for similar photographs showing such an "orb vertical bias" in which orbs appear very abundantly above a building in the foreground, but almost never in front of such a building.

There was no fog, mist, rain, or precipitation on this night. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 39.
