The photo below was taken while photographing ordinary drops of pure, clean water falling against a dark background. We seem to see a congruent stack of three of the mysterious objects I call orb veils. These objects had an apparent size of about 4 inches. I sometimes photograph these things in stacks that seem to contain as many as 8 or 9 orb veils, all with the same shape. See here for 16 similar examples of these strange, strange stacks.
