Orbs Outside the Metropolitan Museum

Photo date: August 23, 2015. Photographer: Mark Mahin.

The photo below shows the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.  We see two moon-like bright lights in the sky. One is the moon --- but what can the other one be?

Things also looked weird when I pointed my camera in the other direction. That photo showed a  purple orb hanging out in the sky.

An earlier photo of the back of the museum showed a pink orb floating mysteriously in the sky. This wasn't the moon, which was only about a half-moon on this night.

There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night which had very clean air. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a rating of 24 (anything below 50 is considered good).
