The photo below is a composite of 3 consecutive photos taken of a building in New York City, the first two taken at 8:22 PM and the third at 8:23 PM. Notice how different the second photo is from the first and third photos.
Below is a closeup showing most of the middle photo. We see a large luminous object that doesn't look like moving orbs I often photo, as it has a teardrop shape. There are also small objects that appear to be speeding in the opposite direction that the flag is blowing.
There was no fog, mist, rain or precipitation on this night which had
very clean air. The air quality listed on airnow.gov was "good," with a
rating of 24 (anything below 50 is considered good). You can see from the flag position that it was windy.
I have taken many photos at this exact location, and have never once seen an insect at this location.
